Here is a MTH 30-1101 O NYC 4-8-2 L-3 Mohawk Steam Locomotive & Tender #3000 from 1995. Features include a Die-Cast Chassis and Boiler, Operating Headlight, Simulated Electronic Digital Whistle, Operating Puffing Smoke Unit, Flywheel Coasting Drive Train, & Runs on O27 track.

Drawing its roots from South Africa and first introduced in the early 19th century, the 4-8-2 or also commonly referred to as the "Mountain" type made waves when it first hit rail-ways thanks to a re-designed truck system that granted these powerful locomotives excellent stability when traversing at high speeds with passenger cars. Their practicality and reliability would not go unnoticed and the 4-8-2 quickly founds itself commissioned to rail-yards across the world. The 4-8-2 has since moved on from rail-yards and now several models can be found in various museums throughout the United States.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are some paint chips on the walkways of the locomotive and the front of the tender. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This locomotive does not include DCS (Digital Command System) features because it has ProtoSound 1.0. Only locomotives with ProtoSound 2.0 and ProtoSound 3.0 include DCS functions.
