Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America (this particular model is the Dreyfuss), the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!
The locomotive features an all metal dye cast construction with 2 traction wheels. The passenger cars feature 3 rail, a plastic body and under carriage with metal chassis, trucks, wheels/axels and operatiing knuckle couplers. This set also has hand painted figures, illuminated interior and end of car diaphrams.
