MTH 10-1217-0 Mayflower Presidential Std Gauge Train Set EX/Box

Here is an MTH 10-1217-0 Mayflower Standard Gauge Presidential Locomotive Set. One of the most stunning Standard Gauge locomotive sets to ever grace a pike first appeared in 1927 from American Flyer. Featuring a twelve-wheel electric locomotive and four matching passenger cars, the original Mayflower set was based on the President's Special set first cataloged in 1926. Unlike the President's Set from the year before, the Mayflower was produced with an all-chrome finish that added to the already rich detail and design of the engine and cars. It includes a 4393 Annapolis Diner Car, a 4390 West Point Club Car, a 4392 Army-Navy Observation Car, and a Traditional Mayflower Locomotive. Features include chrome plated finish, operating headlight and interior lights, die-cast chassis, operating latch couplers, metal wheels and axles, and brass trim.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The chrome finish of all cars in the set and the locomotive have some spots of smudging, handling prints, small nicks and light scratches scattered over all of their bodies. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The instruction manual is included.
