Here is a Lionel 6-16710 O Gauge Operating U.S. Army Missile Car #16710 from 1995.
This is a re-issue of the classic Minuteman Missile launching boxcar from the early 1960‘s.
This features a concealed launching mechanism and missile inside the boxcar with an opening roof. To operate the car, cock the spring loaded mechanism, put the rocket on it, and close the nicely fitting roof halves. To remotely launch the missile, either park it or run it slowly over a remote control track section (Not included). When triggered the roof opens and the launching mechanism slowly raises and then the missile launches at your unsuspecting target!
The car also features metal trucks and operating couplers, metal wheels, and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The wheels show average run-time. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Excellent.
