This is a Lionel 5342 Vintage OO New York Central 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive & Tender. The locomotive features die-cast metal construction, a motor, a smoke stack, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features die-cast metal construction, a knuckle coupler, die-cast metal trucks, metal wheels and axles.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world.
