Lionel 3435 Vintage O Operating Traveling Aquarium Car VG
Here is a Lionel 3435 Vintage O Operating Traveling Aquarium Car from 1959-62. It is a postwar classic. As it moves down the track the fish appear to swim around in the tank. Actually the fish are printed on a clear filmstrip attached to a vibrator motor that moves the strip around inside, and the glass on the side of the car is rippled along with the illumination behind it that creates a real neat effect. The car also features interior illumination, plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and plastic axles.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This car shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. There is also some rust on the chassis, wheels and trucks. The center rail on the roof is broken on both sides. One side of the name and numbering was applied smudged. The item was tested, the lights function, but the revolving inside doesn't function. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
