This is a Lionel 249E Vintage O 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Locomotive w/ 265T Tender from 1936-39. The locomotive features metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, a smoke stack, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features tinplate construction, a box coupler, tinplate trucks with black journals, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-2: Fair based on visual appearance. This item has been repainted at some point in time by the previous owner. This item shows heavy signs of paint wear, chips, and cracking in some portions of the die-cast. The cow catcher is completely missing and not included. One wheelset is loose, but is included. The boiler front is detached and comes off very easily when reapplied. When tested, this item does receive power but struggles to swap directions due to a bad e-unit. This item is being sold AS-IS. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. Overall condition is Restored - Fair.
