Here is a Lionel 238E Vintage O Pennsylvania Torpedo Streamlined Steam Locomotive & Tender from 1936-38. The locomotive features metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, a smoke unit, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. Features for the tender include painted metal construction, a rear box coupler, metal grab irons, tinplate metal truck sides with metal journal boxes, and metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-4: Fair based on visual appearance. There are large sections where the original paint has been rubbed/chipped off. There are spots of rust/oxidation on the internals, eccentric rods, and on the chassis. One eccentric rod has its piston rod separated from the mechanism due to a breaking in the connector. The manufacturing plate underneath the drive wheels is loose on one side. One of the road number identification plates is severely deteriorated and is now barely legible. Overall condition is Fair.
