Lionel 2328 Vintage O Burlington GP-7 Powered EMD Diesel Locomotive

This is a Lionel 2328 Vintage O Burlington GP-7 Powered EMD Diesel Locomotive from 1955-56. The 2328 Burlington GP7 was one of three road names to appear on this all new diesel style of 1955. The other two GP7‘s introduced in 1955 were the 2028 Pennsylvania and 2338 Milwaukee Road. All three GP7‘s have become desirable and collectable diesels. A common problem with the 2328 is the quality of the silver paint. Frequently, the silver has tarnished or become ‘washed out‘ in appearance. Locating a Burlington diesel with a high quality silver exterior will require some effort. Features include a motor, a reverse unit, operating lights, an operating horn, die-cast metal trucks, operating knuckle couplers and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-4: Fair based on visual appearance. This item did not function when tested and is being sold As-Is. Numerous trim pieces are heavily bent. There are heavy nicks, scratches and paint loss on the surface of the shell and chassis. The chassis, wheels and trucks are heavily rusted with heavy spots of corrosion also present. The shell is cracked, making it very loose and easily able to come off. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included.
