American Flyer 21004 Vintage S 0-6-0 Steam Switcher & Tender VG
Here is an American Flyer 21004 Pennsylvania 0-6-0 Yard Switcher and Tender. This was an uncatalogued version from 1957. It comes equipped with Pull-Mor traction tires on rear drivers, smoke and choo-choo in boiler, two-position reverse unit mounted on rear of motor, and disconnecting drawbar attached to the chassis.
Upon its introduction during the 19th century, the 0-6-0 would quickly become one of the most widely used models in many rail-yards due to its versatility becoming a favored unit over its 0-4-0 and 0-8-0 counterparts. With their ability to operate on both heavy and light railways, the 0-6-0 would become a staple in rail-yards all over the world!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. There is some rust on the metal parts of the locomotive & tender. One of the two wires has broken off the tender. When tested the locomotive would move for a moment but then stop. When the locomotive was put in reverse, sparks near the back of the locomotive could be seen. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
