3rd Rail 6465 PRR 2-10-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender #6465 with Sound EX/Box
Here is a 3rd Rail 6465 PRR 2-10-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender #6465 with Sound (3Rail). It is a beautiful 1/4" scale 2-10-4 brass Locomotive and Tender which are over 28" long features smoke, sounds, a large motor, and a terrific amount of detail. The tender has realistic coal in the bin and a back-up light. Requires 72" minimum track diameter. 3rd Rail is a division of Sunset Models and makes a terrific line of brass locomotives and cars. This is the 3 rail version for use with Lionel, MTH, and other O gauge trains.
Introduced in 1919 by Baldwin locomotive Works in North America, the 2-10-4 would quickly find itself as a mainstay in railyards all over the world -- being commissioned in North America, South America, Europe, and Africa! The North American models were introduced for the Atchison and Topeka & Santa Fe railways initially, but would find themselves on various other railways as well. The production of these models was briefly halted during the Great Depression in the 1930s, but would see a fresh breath of life again in 1938 with steel preduction and locomotive manufacturing picking back up. With a handful of these models in a preservation status, this is your chance to get one running on the rail yards again with this masterfully crafted O-Gauge replica!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. Then lighting is non-functional. A section of the locomotive's boiler railing is broken and partially detached. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
